Grande Bougie - Santal Rose

640g ceramic vessel. Handcrafted in small batches in the Haute-Savoie. All perfumes produced in Grasse. Burn time approximately 90 hours. We recommend 2 hours for the first burn, trim wicks to between 5mm-10mm.

A NOTE FROM THE PERFUMER

The brief we set ourselves was a rose that never announces itself as one. Delicate, but not so delicate it disappears and above all not floral in the way people brace for when they see the word rose on a candle. The raspberry at the top is the trick, and it is dosed low: just enough that the pink peppercorn reads as fruit rather than spice, so what you meet first is sweetness without sugar. The rose then arrives at the heart with iris and magnolia around it, and that is where we pushed hardest for the throw, because in a candle it is the middle that fills a room. Amber, musk and patchouli hold it to the ground. It was always meant to work across every format we make, and this is the one where it has the most room to open.
