640g ceramic vessel. Handcrafted in small batches in the Haute-Savoie. All perfumes produced in Grasse. Burn time approximately 90 hours. We recommend 2 hours for the first burn, trim wicks to between 5mm-10mm.

A NOTE FROM THE PERFUMER

Putting cistus at the top of a candle is not orthodox. It is a resin - sticky, ambery, the kind of material most perfumers bury at the bottom of a formula and here it sits beside the pink peppercorn, where you meet it first. That was deliberate. Pepper alone is bright and then gone; the cistus catches it and gives the opening a leathery warmth before the leather itself arrives. The heart is where this candle earns its vessel: leather, iris and benzoin, the iris powdery enough to stop the leather turning aggressive as the melt pool widens. At 640g that pool runs full and even, and the last third of the burn is really the base - sandalwood, cashmeran, dry woods. It is a slow fragrance. Give it an hour before you judge it.
