A NOTE FROM THE PERFUMER
Most people would call this a fresh fragrance, then be surprised to find leather at the bottom of it. That was precisely the argument we wanted to make. Bergamot on its own goes flat in a candle - citrus is the first thing to burn away, and what is left behind is usually thin. So the nutmeg sits with it from the start, warm and slightly dusty, holding the opening together far longer than bergamot could manage alone. Cypress and cashmeran make the heart green but supple. Then cedarwood, vetiver and a low dose of leather underneath, which is what stops the whole thing evaporating into a household cleaner. It smells like morning, but morning in a house with old furniture in it.
